Hiking Trails
I used to enjoy hiking before I got old and started to show my age, but with four vertebrae with no disks, and arthritis everywhere I don’t hike much any longer, just short nature trails or worse, walks along the streets by my home and the Larkspur Trail.
I used to run two hiking websites, one was hiking-in-ps.com, and the other was for hiking in oregon named HikecentralOregon.com. However, when the pandemic hit like many people I just lost interest in some things, and those websites were something I decided to stop hosting (I regretted that later but …).
However recently I thought about how I used to enjoy working on websites, and the domain name I always wanted (Oldergamers.com, long store about my gamer tag, but you can find out more at my About Me page) was available when I checked in March of 2025, so I thought “why not”, so I’m combining both hiking websites here, as well as my other interests. Below you will see links for hiking trails in the Palm Springs area, and Central Oregon.

Trail Updates
If you come across a trail that is no longer open, or the parking area has changed, or anything that hikers would need to know we need your help to keep the website updated. You can email us here and we will make any necessary changes.
Please use caution hikers! Hiking in and around Palm Springs can be very dangerous. Just because it is a desert doesn’t mean it will not get cold in the winter, and it definitely gets very hot in the summer. I recommend that you don’t hike in the area in the summer unless you are a very experienced hiker, and you have the proper equipment and lots of water. Wear proper clothing, have proper equipment and follow these hiking tips or you may pay with your life. Always carry more water than you think you will need, and don’t wander off the established trails.
