While I game to just enjoy gaming, I also do it because I have serious lower back pain, and arthritis in every joint, so gaming helps me escape that pain. I think part of the reason why I like open world games is because in a game I can still do some of the in real life things I used to enjoy, like hiking for example. I have walked all over the maps of Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas and Fallout 76.

On a much grander scale is being able to hike on other planets like I do in Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky. I do a lot of just walking around in my games, and I don’t always concentrate on leveling up quickly, or doing the main quests, as side quests let me do even more exploring.

However, I enjoyed gaming even before my body started to fail me, so I guess I just like to game? I guess you could say I enjoy gaming to also get away from some of the issues we all face worldwide, like wars and political unrest.

Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening is the game I am playing the most of at the moment. I’m about 250 hours in and going slow like I usually do. I’m loving it. However, those who progressed to the Deep Desert real fast have many complaints about the game and are reporting many bugs, duping (those people are idiots), and cheating in PVP and other places. For the moment I’m doing ok though.

Dune: Awaking Interactive Map

This Interactive map will help you find locations in all the current zones in Arrakis, including key locations, questsNPCs, trading posts, shipwrecks, enemy camps, and of course some of the valuable resources you will need as you progress in the game. By default everything the map has is showing, so you need to tell it what exactly you are looking for. To do that just click on “Full Map” at the top left corner of the map.
